• Focal point for Early Childhood Development (ECD) programme in Country office.
• Plan, implement and monitor Early Childhood Education (ECE) programme, provide technical support to provincial offices and coordinate with relevant education departments for advocacy, planning and monitoring ECE/D programmes.
• Review Alternative Learning Programme (ALP) and coordinate with relevant Education departments for formulating provincial strategies for out of school children.
• Provide support to the development of the Social Cohesion and Resilience Analysis report; by assisting with the desk review, facilitating the consultations and drafting the report. Ensure the logistics are in place for planned activities and events.
• Under the guidance of the Education Specialist (P4), provide support to design the assigned Peacebuilding project, including adherence to Social Cohesion and Resilience Analysis report, UNICEF Technical guidance on conflict analysis and Peacebuilding lessons learned reports.
• Prepare, implement, monitor and evaluate the assigned Peacebuilding project. Analyze and evaluate data to ensure achievement of objectives and recommend corrective action when necessary to meet project objectives. Assist in the development and introduction of new approaches, methods and practices in project management and evaluation.
• Provide inputs on training/ orientation for field based national facilitators who will implement the process; Identify training needs and objectives for the purpose of capacity building, programme sustainability as well as promotion and advocacy.
• Prepare project status reports, documents and required information for donors, budget review, programme analysis, annual reports etc.
• Ensure collaboration and facilitate linkages with Child Protection, PME, C4D Coordinator, Gender and other programme colleagues. Ensure inputs of the TWG are fed into the programme.

• In conjunction with UNICEF C4D and WASH team implemented revamp hygiene strategy based on socio behavioural norm change communication, mobilized mass media, beneficiary community, implementing partners and government counter parts for effective hygiene, sanitation and safe water advocacy campaign in Bangladesh.
• Working with government counterpart (Department of Public Health Engineering (DPHE) supervised and coordinated with National Facilitating Agencies (Water aid, Plan Bangladesh, Dhaka Hasania Mission and Practical Action) for capacity building of local facilitating NGOs and front line workers.
• With Chief WASH and Social Development team of WASH liaise with Ministry of Local Government and Cooperates (MoLDGC) and coordinated with national partners for WASH sector reform and organising Sanitation and Water for All Preparatory Meeting to contribute in High level Meeting (HLM) on SWA.
• Supervised WASH in School programme through promoting child friendly WASH in School, capacity building of service providers and influencing policy reforms through interpersonal communication and communication material and policy dialogue with relevant government departments and national and international agencies. Around 8412 primary schools and 615 secondary schools were covered under the SHEWAB programme.
• In collaboration with the WASH Specialist (Technology Development), C4D section and WASH team, developed innovative and participatory, child-friendly, gender-sensitive, pro-poor and demand-responsive approaches and strategies for the design, planning, and implementation and monitoring of the hygiene, sanitation and safe water programme.
• Promoted and supported policies and approaches, which facilitate and build on the participation of poor people and inclusion of socially excluded. The project is to supported communities, and particularly the poorest in the un-served and under-served communities to adopt appropriate hygiene practices which reduce their exposure

• Designed and developed Result Based Budgeting (RBB) frame work (Indicators of achievements, output and proposed activities) related to gender and provided technical backstop to the head of the Gender Advisory Unit (GAU) in the design and implementation of mission and sector-wide action plans that translate existing policies and mandates on the promotion of gender equality in all activities of UNAMID.
• Working with the team of Gender Unit translated UN Security Council’s Resolution 1325 on Women Peace and security, and UNSCR 1820 on Gender Based Violence in to practice through action plan, capacity building programme and advocacy campaign in consultation with mission components and UN agencies in Darfur.
• Developed Gender Mainstreaming Strategy for the mission and assisted the head of Gender Advisory Unit (GAU) in developing policies and in setting up mechanisms, processes and structures that will facilitate gender mainstreaming in the mission.
• Supervised and provided technical support to the design and delivery of gender training programme for all mission components (Civilian, Military and Police) in UNAMID headquarters and all sectors.
• Oversaw the design, implementation and quality of research studies and gender analyses on gender issues in Darfur and Sudan generated to inform policy decisions of the mission. Provided ongoing technical advice to mission components and sections in expanding their capacity for gender analysis and development of gender-sensitive policies and programmes.
• Provided technical support to GAU-sector level on how to engage with state government and regional institutions, especially those created under the Transitional Darfur Regional Authority (TDRA).
• Provided technical support to GAU-sector level in their partnership activities with state government, civil society organisations and women’s groups as regards women’s political representation, women’s participation in the peace process and the protection needs of women and

• In conjunction of National Programme Manager documented and disseminated legal awareness about the rights of women as well as other vulnerable sections of society from the district level (including schools and colleges)
• Ensured strong coordination between different networks/communication channels at Federal/ Provincial level bodies including Criminal Justice Coordination Committees, Public Safety Commissions, Citizen Police Liaison Committees and Bar Associations for minimizing and curbing the menace of gender violence.
• Assisted the functioning of Musalihat Anjumans (MAs) on gender violence issues through evidence, document collection, bringing witnesses to the proceedings, liaison with local police for any support etc.
• Provided follow up reports to Federal/ Provincial Project Management Units for the smooth implementation of the decisions/agreements reached as a result of MA proceedings
• With support from the National Programme Manager facilitated the secretariat of MenEngage National Alliance for Gender Equality and coordinated the network’s activities.

• Working with the Capacity Building Unit’s team carried out need assessments of all the stakeholders of Local Government System including Citizen Community Boards (CCBs) etc. in the field of capacity building, participation of women in local government institutes and development needs.
• Developed training courses on various subjects of capacity building in Local Government and CCBs related areas ( Social mobilization, project management, gender awareness, project monitoring).
• Conducted Training of Trainers (TOT) course for the partner organizations of (Devolution Trust for Community Empowerment) DTCE including Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and government organizations.
• Implemented capacity building program for CCBs, CSOs and other Local Government stakeholders.
• Provided guidance and supervised the training activities in the field.
